Vintage to Modern challenge quilts were showcased in the April 2015 guild meeting. Winners were chosen by a team from the Bargain Barn:
Construct two 12″ finished blocks, one vintage or traditional and one modern.
They should be complementary to each other. The modern block should be a representation of the vintage. Also keep in mind that a 12″ block can be four 6″ blocks or even a 9-patch of 3″ blocks.
The 12″ blocks need to be attached vertically with sashing or by a button/loop method. The top block should be vintage with a 2″ sleeve on the back.
Between your imagination, quilt magazines or even videos, we should have a wonderful mini-show to hang.
