2017-show-logogodfreyPriscilla Godfrey was born and raised in New York State.  She graduated from Muskingum College in 1972 with a degree in English and Theatre.  She is also a graduate of the Washington School for Secretaries.

She started quilting in 1978 and exhibited her first quilt, a baby quilt, in the 1979 National Quilting Association Show in Washington, D.C. receiving an honorable mention.  She became interested in the quilt judge certification program and earned her certification from NQA in 1986 at the Des Moines, Iowa, National Quilt Association Show.  She judged the National Quilt Association Show in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1994.  Ms. Godfrey also served as the Certified Quilt Judges Quarterly Editor for four years and was Chair of the Quilt Judge Certification program from 1992 to 1996.  Most recently, she served as Secretary on the NQA Board of Directors.

She has judged throughout the Northeast including the Virginia State Fair.  Most recently judging the Eastern Long Island Quilt Guild Show, the West Virginia Culture Center Quilt Show and the Charlotte Quilters Guild Show in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Mrs.  Godfrey also served two four year terms on the Loudoun County School Board and is currently President of the League of Women Voters in Loudoun County.  She is also past president of the Rotary Club of Purcellville.

She is the happily married proud mother of three children and four grandchildren.  Priscilla and her husband, Dennis, live on 4 acres of Loudoun countryside, an hour from Washington, D.C.
