Quiltessas Deliver 43 Quilts to the Turning Points Shelter, April 2016

Improv Piecing Workshop
Led by Kitty, we all sewed madly from 9AM to 3:30PM. We each started by making a center in 30 minutes; then passed all our fabric save our “signature” yard to the next person. During each round, we added something using the owner’s fabrics and a bit of our signature. Linda’s dahlia-like flowers & Kathy’s frogs are easy to spot.

Crazy Paper Piecing Block project
If you were not at the social last night, we missed you. Click here for the block you need to print out. This is a 8 1/2 by 8 1/2 square. Each month make at least one block with fabrics of an assigned color. This is done by paper piecing. Each month will be a different color. This month, the color is BLUE. At the January meeting, the blue blocks will be on display and a drawing for them will be held. We will continue this for four months. Any questions, please email me.

Turn in those UFOs you’ll never finish! Your “trash” = my “treasure”.
So please bring whatever quilting and sewing related items you can part with to the November 2nd meeting this Monday! A collection area will be set aside. If you have any questions, call Cindy King at 556-0755 or Tam McBride at 524-0263.
