Some members work on Dear Jane squares, but others work on other hand work.  Everyone is welcome.  Bring your hand piecing, appliqué, hand quilting, binding, embroidery, or any-thing else you do by hand and join us.  It is a great time of fun, fellowship and help from other members.  Bring your own supplies.  Of course, we all will be glad to share if you forget to  bring something.

What do we all want from this group?

  • Focus/incentive to get going
  • Support for exploration
  • Sharing Ideas
  • Be more creative.. bolder
  • Try/Learn Techniques like dying,  portraits from photos, design exercises, flower pounding, dye painting, batiking, paint sticks, silk screening
  • Group and/or collaborative Challenges like “slicing” a photo and each one do a piece of the whole, or Chinese Whispers

We meet in members’ homes, and use a private Facebook group for communication.

About our masthead

“Quilts on a Fence” recalls a member collaboration to make scrappy quilts for donation to places like the Rescue Mission.  There were several more delivered earlier, but these were the last of the batch. Here’s the directions for the block: String Diamond Charity Quilt
